FFDN is excited to announce a new industry platform taking shape for fall 2024 - a place where dancemakers, theatre programmers, curators and global cultural leaders will gather in person or virtually, from across Canada and around the world, to experience new work, discover Canadian artists, share knowledge and participate in a more inclusive, post-pandemic international dance industry.
This hybrid program will provide an exciting opportunity to meet and exchange in Toronto, Canada’s largest city and multicultural meeting point. It will feature both short form and full-length showcases, distinct curation across genres and cultural dance specializations, mainstage performances presented by FFDN and other Toronto based dance presenters, as well as knowledge sharing and networking events. Watch this space for more information, including open calls, event dates, and registration information for artists and industry professionals.
In the meantime, industry professionals are invited to engage with this year’s 8th Anniversary Festival both in-person and online, from Sep 17 - Oct 8, 2022. To learn more about the programming, connect with the artists, or discuss presentation opportunities, please contact FFDN Executive Producer, Lily Sutherland at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Connections made at past FFDN industry events have led to numerous opportunities, including international commissions, Canadian and international tours, and appearances at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, Holland Dance Festival, and Guelph Dance Festival.
