Scenes from FFDN's 2020 Signature Program
Our marque festival event, the 2020 Signature Program, presented six world premieres – five of them FFDN commissions – by Canadian dancemakers both at home and abroad. Livestreamed from Harbourfront Centre's Fleck Dance Theatre on October 3rd, this exciting mixed program compelled arts lovers from around the globe to digitally connect with dance. Audiences were compelled to discover Canadian Indigenous, gumboot, tap, jazz, ballet and contemporary dance styles performed by artists at the highest level of excellence, alongside appearances from special guests.
The program was approximately 85 minutes long, followed by a 30-minute post-show chat with the six choreographers, moderated by FFDN's Artistic Director Ilter Ibrahimof.
