Unexpected dance encounters beyond the theatre

All of our FREE Union events, presented as part of Union Dance, take place in the West Wing which is located on street level just west of the Great Hall.

Catch a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the creative working processes of our festival artists within the uniquely beautiful context of Canada's busiest transit hub.

Habiter sa mémoire

Within the confines of a transparent 12’ x 12’ cube, Laurin-Beaucage creates four-hour dance in which she watches and reinterprets videos of her own past performances in real time.

October 5, 12-11pm

Dive into the movement styles of swing, tango and Haudenosaunee (Indigenous) social dances, all with live music. Learn some new moves in beginner’s workshops and celebrate dancing together in a social setting.
