Five, six, seven, eight…
FFDN spent two innovative years exploring avenues to connect dance and audience through the wonders of digital programming. Emerging in 2022, our future-looking festival is ready to take our first pas de bourée into the exciting world of dance cinema with our new short film series 8-Count. Can we count you in?

All 8-count films are available to stream until the end of our festival, Oct 8.

A cinematic exploration of how the art of screendance and storytelling continues to evolve post-pandemic. FFDN is thrilled to make our silver screen debut with the newest addition to our festival’s mainstage programming 8-Count: Delightful moments of dance cinema.

8-Count premiered on Sep 23 and 24 with two live cinema screenings at the Betty Oliphant Theatre & Sandra Faire and Ivan Fecan Theatre at York University.

All films that are included in the series are now available to stream free on our website until the end of the festival (Oct 8).
