Following a successful inaugural season in 2022 and the 2023 Open Call season, our short dance film series 8-COUNTreturns to the festival for its third edition with a special one-night-only premiere screening on Sep 29 at FFDN's newest venue, Paradise Theatre.

8-Count is FFDN’s short dance film series showcasing national & international dancemakers and filmmakers passionate about capturing dance on film. We are excited that this year we brought back 8-Count’s Open Call for short dance films and an honorarium of $700 for each selected film. This year's line-up is currently being curated by our Selection Committee and the official 8-Count list of films will be publicly announced in August 2024.
