Venue Accessibility

Fall for Dance North Festival takes place across various venues in Toronto. FFDN is dedicated to working together with our venue partners to ensure a barrier free environment so our visitors can enjoy the festival experience to the fullest extent. Below is a listing of all festival venues and accessibility information provided at each space.

Requests for accommodations and accessible seating can be made during the ticket purchasing process. 

27 Front St. East

The lower lobby of the Bluma Appel Theatre is partially accessible for patrons using wheelchairs or other mobility-assistive devices. The Bluma Appel Theatre has dedicated accessible seating locations in boxes three and six, as well as on the orchestra level accessible by an attendant-operated lift found in the lower lobby, plus other seating suitable for patrons with limited mobility.

Partially accessible stalls are available in the washrooms located on the orchestra level of both the Bluma Appel and Jane Mallett Theatres. Please note, there is no elevator at St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts, and the upper lobbies are not accessible.

Accessible parking is located in the Green P paid parking lot on The Esplanade (just south of St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts). If you have an accessible parking permit, limited parking is available in the main driveway of Meridian Hall (across the street from St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts), on a first-come, first-served basis. 304 Parliament St. 

Both Studio A and Studio B are accessible by a two-person elevator located at the lobby level. Community members using mobility devices can use the elevator to access these spaces, however, it requires a staff member’s assistance to operate. The Citadel has an accessible washroom located in the lobby at street level.

55 Front St. West

Union Station is an accessible venue with many accessible features. There are barrier free travel paths within the whole building, as well as accessible ramps and elevators. This includes all public transport such as The Go, VIA Rail, UP Train and TTC as well as the building itself. Washrooms are also barrier free and accessible to the public.

Accessible route from TTC: The west side of the TTC concourse level has ramps that lead to the Front Street Promenade (where Pilot Coffee and Danish Pastry are). Continue heading straight and then turn left at the restaurants to head into the GO York Concourse. Take another left and continue to the staircase that leads to the Great Hall. There is an elevator just to the left of that staircase that goes up to the Great Hall at street level. The West Wing is to the left.

Accessible route from GO York Concourse: Follow signs towards the Great Hall. There is a staircase that leads from the GO York Concourse to the Great Hall. Just left of the staircase is an elevator. The West Wing is on the left. Union Station (ttc.ca)

100 McCaul St.

The Great Hall is situated on the second floor of the main campus building at OCAD University. The venue is accessible via elevator. For performances at OCADu there will be reserved seating available for those using a mobility device or wheelchair. Accessible washrooms are located on the same floor of the performance space.
